A Rainy Day
Nelson Edwards of Hearst International News Pictorial, circa 1918.
Edwards earned a spot in the history books due to William Randolph Hearst sending Edwards behind the German lines during World War One to film footage from the German side for the Hearst newsreel.
During the course of his career, Edwards worked for various newsreel firms untilĀ the early 1950s when he jumped to television. Edwards ended up employed as a news cameraman with ABC News, working alongside contemporaries such as Al Mingalone.
